Melting Snowman Cookies

Melting Snowman Cookies

Create an amazing festive snack for the Christmas dessert table with these super easy and adorable melting snowman cookies!

Ingredients & Tools

Method

  1. If you’re making your own dough: roll it out to about 3mm thick, use a round cutter to cut cookies, then bake and cool. Or use store-bought or pre-made plain cookies as your base.
  2. Mix up the royal icing, then thin it to flooding consistency.
  3. On the marshmallows, use edible markers to draw a snowman face (eyes and carrot nose).
  4. Snap each pretzel in half (these will be the snowman’s “arms”). You’ll need one marshmallow and one pretzel per cookie
  5. Using the royal icing in a piping bag with a small opening, outline a “melting snowman” shape on each cookie, then flood the shape with icing. Immediately sprinkle the edge of the shape with white nonpareils to give a “snow” effect.
  6. Place the decorated marshmallow faces and pretzel arms onto each cookie at the top of the snowman.
  7. Use chocolate chips to add buttons down the body of the snowman
  8. Let the cookies dry completely - ideally at least 24 hours - before storing or serving.

Enjoy! Perfect for impressing guests without spending hours in the kitchen. For more delicious Christmas treats check out our blogs on Santa Hat Meringue Pops, Christmas Tree Brownies and Candy Cane Hearts.
