Spooky Eyeball Cake Pops

Spooky Eyeball Cake Pops

Crafting eyeball cake pops for Halloween is a thrilling way to embrace the spooky spirit of the season. With a few simple steps, you can effortlessly create these eerie treats that are bound to bewitch your taste buds and captivate your Halloween guests. Follow these steps to make your very own:

Ingredients and Supplies:

Method:

  1. Start by rolling your cake mix into small, round balls before placing in the fridge to chill. These will be the base for your eyeball cake pops.
  2. Melt white candy melts and dip the end of a cake pop stick in. Then, gently insert the stick into a chilled cake ball. This will help secure the stick in place.
  3. Submerge the cake pop into a bowl of white melted candy melts. Ensure that the coating is about 3-4 inches deep. You want it deep enough to dip and remove the pop in one smooth motion without stirring.
  4. If the coating doesn't fully cover the cake ball, gently rock the stick left and right until the coating evenly covers the ball. For smoother dipping, it helps if your candy melt coating is more fluid. If it's too thick, you can add a little vegetable oil to thin it out.
  5. Before the coating sets, place a green candy melt right on the front of the cake pop. This will be the eye's vivid colour.
  6. Use a red and black edible pens to draw veins and the iris on the white candy coating. Add a tiny dot of white candy melts using a toothpick on the black iris to complete the eerie eyeball effect.

*For an extra frightful treat, skip the cake pop stick and use a fork instead. Melt red candy melts and apply it messily around the fork and underneath to create a spine-chilling effect, resembling a bleeding eye! This is also a great way to have them standing!

Now you have your own batch of spooky eyeball cake pops ready to delight and spook your friends and family! Enjoy your creepy creation!
