Creepy Skull Cupcakes: A Spooky Halloween Treat

Crafting skull cupcakes for Halloween is a thrilling way to embrace the spooky spirit of the season. With a few simple steps, you can effortlessly create these eerie treats that are bound to bewitch your taste buds and captivate your Halloween guests.

Ingredients and Supplies:

Method:

  1. Start by preparing the cupcake mix, using the convenient mix available on our website. Follow the provided instructions to make the cupcake batter.
  2. Line your cupcake tray with cupcake papers. Fill each paper about 3/4 full with the cupcake batter.
  3. To create skull-shaped cupcakes, roll tinfoil to create round tube like pieces. Place them opposite each other in the cupcake batter, so they'll hold part of the cupcake in place as it bakes. This will maintain the skull shape during cooking.Skull Cupcake
  4. Bake according to the instructions.
  5. After the cupcakes have cooled, it's time to frost them. Frost using our buttercream icing and piping tip 2A then gently press upside down onto baking paper and freeze for 15-20 minutes to get a flat top.
  6. Create the eye cutouts by gently pressing the back of the piping tip into the cold icing.
  7. Thin a very small portion of the buttercream icing with a drop of milk, then black food colouring, using a toothpick create a mouth and skeletal nose.Skull Cupcakes
