You're Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile is a fun and easy-to-play party game, perfect for players of all ages. Great for entertaining children, or even adults, whether it be a birthday party, an anniversary, or simply a dinner party, this party game is easy to play, and you only need yourselves!
How To Play:
You can do this sitting down or standing up, it's really up to you. Here are some basic rules:
1) Choose one person to be 'it'. This person will be the only player allowed to smile, no-one else can!
2) The goal of the 'it' player is to make the other players smile. They can do anything they want to get another player, any other player, to smile.
3) If the 'it' player can get another player to crack a smile, or even laugh, that player now becomes 'it'.
Variations:
From here, it's up to you where to take the game. You can adapt the rules, or leave them as is, but here are a few of the changes you can make.
Get creative! You start with only yourselves, but if your joke requires it, props are not out of the question. They can often enhance a joke, and you can even create a whole skit with them.
You can change how the game ends. You can have the 'it' players can trade places so that the fun lasts as long as you wish. Perhaps a point system, or maybe play without any victory conditions and just have fun without the competitive element. Alternatively, the new 'it' player can join the old one, and team up to get the others to join them until there's only one player left standing.
Modern variations of the game have only one person who isn't allowed to smile or laugh as the one who's 'it', and everyone else must work to make them do so before an allotted time runs out.
