Party Bag Styling

Party Bags are a chance for the birthday child to say “thanks for coming to my party!” Children love receiving party bags with little treats, especially a memento or keepsake to remind them of what a great time they had at the party.
Often parents ask for help on what they should include in a party bag, also called the Loot Bag. We recommend adding items related to the theme, so that kids can enjoy and remember the party well after it’s ended. A theme, whether it's trains, planes or rock n' roll, can help inspire you to create an extra special party bag.

At Build a Birthday we have a range of party bags, boxes and fillers to help you create a special thank you.

Here are some ideas to help you out:

Party Bag Creativity
There are endless ways to wrap, pack and present a great thank you.. You can utilise the party theme and colours in your design. Consider using paper based products, which are more environmentally friendly than plastic ones. If you are looking for a more creative way to present some of the licensed themes-such as Thomas the Tank Engine, My Little Pony, Spider-Man, etc-try purchasing some licensed stickers, then add one to the front of a coloured bag or noodle box with coloured ribbon. Don’t forget to add the party tag, with your child’s personal message of thanks.

Party Bag Keepsake
Everyone likes to receive something to remind them of the fun time they had at the party. It doesn’t need to be expensive; it could be something simple like a photograph or a small trinket box. Some other popular ideas include Jewellery, hair accessories or collectable figurines. See our selection of party bag fillers or contact us for assistance.

Party Bag food
Traditionally party bags include a piece of cake, party food or even a bag of lollies or a lollipop. Just be aware that some children may have intolerances and allergies, especially related to nuts, dairy and gluten.

Party Bag Toys
Kids love rummaging through party bags looking for what they can eat and play with. It’s nice to include a toy that they'll be able to keep long after the party finishes. Parents are not keen on party bag items that go straight in the rubbish. Popular items include rubber bouncy balls, stamps or bubbles.

Party Bag Practical items
Items that children can use, have education value or require some thinking are very popular with adults and kids alike. Items like stickers, bubble bath and colouring books are all great ideas.

Keeping these points in mind, you can guarantee a smile on the face of any child who receives a party bag. If you need any help or have questions, please feel free to contact one of our Build a Birthday consultants.
