PAYMENT
Payment Options

Payment Date

Party Boxes: Payment is required to confirm the booking. Payment is to be made and cleared into the Build-a-Birthday account at least 5 working days before the party date.
Entertainers: A $50 deposit is required to confirm the booking. Payment in full is required prior to the party.

DEPOSIT & BOND POLICIES

Party Boxes: A bond is charged with each entertainment box. Providing box contents are returned by the agreed date, in the same condition as at the time of hire, your bond will be refunded.
The bond will be applied against late return, extraordinary cleaning, repair or replacement costs for loss or damaged items. Build-a-Birthday reserves the right to require payment of amounts payable in excess of the bond.
All costs incurred by Build-a-Birthday in the recovery of debts will be charged to the customer in addition to the original debt.

REFUND POLICY
Party Boxes: A cancellation fee equivalent to the bond amount is retained on bookings cancelled within 7 days of the party date. Changing of a booked box is considered a cancellation, unless within 2 working days of the original booking date. Other Purchases: Subject to the rights conferred under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, refunds on purchases will only be made where items are defective and cannot be replaced.
Entertainers: The deposit is non refundable within 7 days prior to the party.

DELIVERY
Party Boxes: The boxes cannot leave the premises until full payment is made and a hire agreement has been signed. Delivery:
Boxes will be dispatched a few days before the party. Build-a-Birthday will use all reasonable endeavours to ensure couriers are dispatched in adequate time to allow delivery by the time stipulated by the customer. However Build-a Birthday does not warrant that delivery will be made by that time and shall have no liability to the customer for late delivery. The customer is responsible for all loss and damage occurring in transit.

RETURNS
Party Boxes: The customer is responsible for ensuring return by the agreed return date. Build-a-Birthday do not take any responsibility for any goods lost or damaged in transit. The box is to be returned by the third working day after the party. If dropping off in person, please make arrangements by phone or email for appropriate time.

LATE RETURN FEES
Party Boxes: An overdue charge of $25 per day late fee applies from day three.

LOSS AND/OR DAMAGE
Party Boxes: Please fill in the form for broken, damaged or missing items and return with the box. Build-a-Birthday will assess the damage to determine if a charge applies. Please do not wash or alter costumes in anyway. e.g. do not pin or apply sticky tape or sticky labels to costumes.

SAFETY
Party Boxes: Build-a-Birthday is not liable for any injuries sustained through the use of the Build-a-Birthday Party Entertainment Box. All Build-a-Birthday Entertainment boxes must be used under parental supervision. They contain game materials and costumes that could be harmful for younger children. Build-a-Birthday boxes are suitable from 3 years and up. Each box has a recommended age group. If in doubt, please ask for advice whether the box is suitable for the child.
Entertainers: Build-a-Birthday entertainers take care of customers property and ensure that party guests are entertained in a safe manner. Build-a-Birthday is not liable for injuries or damage to property as a result of the party.

OTHER
Party boxes are not to be hired out to third parties.
