Dinosaur Party Food

Dinosaur Party Food

Making Dinosaur Party food is so much fun! We've made Chocolate Dinosaur Eggs, Dinosaur Layered Dessert and fairy bread too! We served Herbivore and Carnivore pizza with Jurassic Juice!

When selecting your dinosaur menu, consider any dietary requirements amongst the guests. Are there any vegetarians, vegans, diary allergies etc. Several of these foods are suitable for all these dietary needs (no not the chocolate ones, but there are alternatives you can consider if needed).

Chocolate Dinosaur Eggs:

These were so easy to make and one of my favourite food items. I made them several days ahead and stored them ready for the day. See our Chocolate Dinosaur Eggs blog for the recipe.

Dinosaur Layered Dessert:

This dessert was super easy and super yum! It went down a treat with the kids (and some adults too!). See our Dinosaur Layered Dessert Blog for the recipe.

Dinosaur Fairy Bread:

Quick, easy and an all time favourite with all ages. See our Fairy Bread - the most popular kids party food! Blog for the recipe.

Dinosaur Lollies and Bone Lollies:

Dinosaur lollies can be found at most supermarkets, however the bones are not. We stock these so just add them to your order. They are also used in some of the recipes and are good for food decorations.

Dinosaur Cupcakes:

I didn't have the time to make little fondant dinosaurs to pop on top of my cupcakes, so I opted for the plastic dinosaur figurine. I choose a good quality one that the kids could take home with them. The other option was the edible dinosaur toppers, which are popular too.

Carnivore and Herbivore Pizza:

Dinosaur pizza

I pre-made Carnivore (meat lovers) and Herbivore (vegetarian) pizza boxes ready for the party, then I ordered pizza for delivery. I had a hungry bunch so this was the easiest option for lunch. Other options are to use your dinosaur shaped cookie cutters and cut the pizza into dinosaur shapes.

The good thing about this option is that we had some vegetarian and vegan friends, so it was easy to make them feel included without needing "special food".

Jurassic Juice:

I cut strips of paper from the tablerunner roll I purchased and wrapped them around cheap fizzy drink. This reduced the cost and kept is all in theme.

See our Dinosaur Party with Flair! blog for more party tips.
